Alpinus White Granite.
A refined white granite from the Dharwar belt of Karnataka, Alpinus White offers a clean, light background with minimal patterning — a versatile specification for contemporary and classical interior projects alike.
About White
Alpinus White Granite is quarried in Karnataka's central granite belt, where Precambrian granitoid intrusives produce a consistent white-to-cream feldspathic granite with moderate grain size. The quarry zone benefits from stable geological conditions that yield blocks of consistent colour and low internal stress. The stone has been in steady export production for over a decade and is supplied as gangsaw slabs, cutter slabs, and calibrated tiles. FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Geological Profile
Alpinus White is a medium-grained leucocratic granite composed primarily of potassium feldspar and plagioclase feldspar with quartz as the dominant silicate phase, plus minor biotite mica and hornblende. The high feldspar content produces the white-to-cream background colour, while biotite and hornblende inclusions introduce subtle grey-black speckling. The low dark-mineral proportion keeps the overall tone firmly in the white range. Moderate porosity for the granite family — sealing recommended for kitchen and bathroom applications.
Color & Character
Alpinus White presents a clean white to pale cream background with a fine, even grain and occasional light grey mineral clusters distributed across the surface. The overall impression is calm and uniform, with no pronounced veining or movement. In direct light, the mica content introduces a soft, diffuse sparkle. The stone's neutral palette makes it highly compatible with a wide range of interior colour schemes and material combinations.
Best Applications
Kitchen Countertops
The clean white palette and moderate hardness make Alpinus White a practical and visually versatile kitchen worktop material, suited to both contemporary and classic kitchen designs.
Bathroom Vanities
White granite vanity tops and shower walls in Alpinus White create bright, hygienic-looking bathroom environments with the durability advantage of natural stone over engineered alternatives.
Wall Cladding
Polished Alpinus White panels are well suited to feature walls, reception backdrops, and lift interiors where a clean, bright stone specification is required.
Flooring
Honed or polished tiles provide bright, slip-resistant flooring for residential and commercial spaces, with the stone's light tone helping to reflect light and increase perceived room size.
Exterior Cladding
The stone's durability and frost tolerance make it suitable for external facade applications, entrance steps, and garden paving in temperate climates.

Care & Maintenance
Alpinus White Granite should be sealed with an impregnating stone sealer at installation and re-sealed annually in kitchen and bathroom applications to protect against staining. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic or bleach-based products. Honed surfaces are more susceptible to visible staining than polished finishes and benefit from more frequent sealing. The stone polishes well and maintains its finish under normal conditions.
