Emerald Pearl Granite.
Emerald Pearl Granite is a deep blue-green labradorite-rich stone with a spectacular iridescent shimmer — one of the most visually dramatic granites available, combining a rich dark background with an optical play of blue-green and gold light.
About Pearl
Emerald Pearl Granite is sourced from South India's established dark labradorite granite quarries in Andhra Pradesh, where the specific mineral composition and crystallographic orientation produce the characteristic blue-green shimmer of the stone. The stone has been in export production for several decades and is well known in global luxury interior and countertop markets. Blocks are selected for shimmer consistency and colour uniformity. Geological Profile
Emerald Pearl is a coarse-grained anorthositic rock dominated by labradorite-bytownite plagioclase feldspar with subordinate pyroxene, hornblende, and ilmenite. The iridescent shimmer — labradorescence — results from optical thin-film interference in the labradorite feldspar crystals, producing blue-green to gold iridescence depending on viewing angle. The blue-green colour emphasis of Emerald Pearl distinguishes it from the more blue-dominant Blue Pearl varieties. Low porosity and high density give the stone excellent stain resistance and structural integrity.
Color & Character
Emerald Pearl Granite presents a deep blue-green to charcoal matrix with a powerful labradorescent shimmer that shifts between blue-green, teal, and gold depending on the light source and viewing angle. The stone's coarse crystalline texture makes individual feldspar crystals visible across the slab surface, each contributing a planar shimmer face to the overall optical effect. The blue-green emphasis of the shimmer gives Emerald Pearl a warmer, more jewel-like quality compared to cooler blue labradorite stones. Each slab has a unique shimmer distribution.

Care & Maintenance
Emerald Pearl Granite has moderate porosity and should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation, refreshed every 18 months for kitchen and bathroom applications. The labradorescent shimmer is intrinsic to the mineral structure and does not diminish with use or cleaning. Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and dry polished surfaces promptly to prevent water spots. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could micro-scratch the polished feldspar face and reduce shimmer intensity.
