About White
Imperial White Granite is quarried in Karnataka's Dharwar Craton, where stable leucocratic Precambrian intrusives produce pale, consistent white granite with very low dark-mineral content. The quarry has supplied export volumes for over two decades and is a reliable source of large-format white granite slabs. Blocks are graded for colour consistency and tone before processing. Geological Profile
Imperial White is a medium-grained leucocratic granite dominated by white potassium feldspar, quartz, and plagioclase, with very low biotite content providing the fine scattered speckle. The high combined feldspar-quartz proportion — typically above 90% by volume — produces the consistently clean white background. Quartz content provides scratch resistance beyond what the compressive strength figure alone suggests. Moderate porosity is standard for white granites of this family and sealing is recommended for all wet-contact uses.

Imperial White Granite has a clean, bright white background with a very fine, evenly distributed grey speckle from scattered biotite grains. The texture is consistent and uniform across slabs, with no prominent veining, clustering, or directional movement. The stone reads as a clean, professional white — brighter and slightly cooler than the Colonial or French White varieties. On polished surfaces, the quartz-feldspar matrix develops a clear, bright reflectivity that reinforces the stone's premium white character.

Care & Maintenance
Imperial White Granite should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation and re-sealed every 12 months in kitchen and bathroom applications. White granite backgrounds are susceptible to oil and food staining if left unsealed; prompt spill cleanup is important. Use pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid bleach, acidic cleaners, and abrasive products. Polished surfaces are more stain resistant than honed finishes.
