Lavender Blue Granite.
Lavender Blue Granite from Karnataka is a cool, softly toned blue-grey stone with subtle lavender undertones and distributed warm mineral inclusions — a refined, understated granite that suits contemporary residential and commercial applications.
About Blue
Lavender Blue Granite is quarried in Karnataka's granite belt, where specific medium-mafic Precambrian intrusives produce the characteristic cool blue-grey colouring with faint lavender undertone. The stone is processed to gangsaw slabs and calibrated tiles at Karnataka units. FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Geological Profile
Lavender Blue is a medium-grained granite or granodiorite composed of blue-grey plagioclase feldspar with subtle purple-lavender optical character, quartz, potassium feldspar, hornblende, and biotite. The faint lavender undertone in the plagioclase feldspar results from trace iron-titanium content in the crystal structure producing a slight violet-blue interference colour. Hornblende and biotite appear as darker inclusions distributed through the blue-grey matrix. Moderate porosity requires sealing for wet-contact applications.
Color & Character
Lavender Blue Granite presents a cool blue-grey matrix with a subtle lavender to violet-blue undertone that is most visible under natural daylight. The surface has a fine, even mineral texture with distributed dark hornblende-biotite inclusions and lighter quartz-feldspar zones. The lavender character distinguishes this stone from standard grey-blue granites — giving it a slightly warmer, more nuanced quality in natural light conditions. On polished surfaces, the blue-grey character is reinforced and the lavender undertone becomes most apparent at oblique viewing angles.

Care & Maintenance
Lavender Blue Granite should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation and re-sealed every 18 months for kitchen and bathroom applications. Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaner; the cool grey surface can show water marks on polished finishes — dry promptly. Avoid abrasive and acidic cleaners. The polished finish retains the stone's blue-grey character under normal conditions.
