Geological Profile
River White is a medium-grained leucocratic granite dominated by white potassium feldspar, quartz, and plagioclase, with biotite and hornblende as dark mineral phases. The flowing dark veining results from biotite-hornblende-rich zones concentrated along micro-shear planes developed during tectonic deformation of the granite body after crystallisation. This gives the dark mineral distribution a directional, flowing character unlike the random clustering typical of undeformed granites. Moderate porosity requires sealing for food and wet-contact surfaces.

Care & Maintenance
River White Granite should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation and re-sealed every 12 months in kitchen and bathroom applications. The white background is susceptible to oil and food staining if left unsealed; prompt spill cleanup is important. Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid acidic, bleach-based, or abrasive products. The polished flowing-vein finish is long-lasting under normal conditions.
