About Gold
Shiva Gold Granite is quarried in Karnataka's central granite belt, where iron-bearing Precambrian intrusives produce the deep amber-gold colouring and the characteristic banded dark mineral inclusions. The stone is processed to gangsaw slabs and calibrated tiles at Karnataka units and has been in export production for over a decade. FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva. Geological Profile
Shiva Gold is a medium-to-coarse grained granite with a mineralogy of deep amber iron-bearing potassium feldspar, quartz, plagioclase, hornblende, and biotite. The dark mineral banding visible across the slab reflects compositional layering in the original granitic intrusive — zones of higher hornblende-biotite content that appear as darker bands against the amber gold background. The elevated iron content in the feldspar produces a richer, deeper gold than lighter gold varieties. Moderate porosity requires sealing for food-contact and wet environments.

Shiva Gold Granite presents a deep amber to warm gold matrix with darker hornblende-biotite bands and clusters distributed through the surface, creating a richer, more directional mineral character than uniform-patterned gold granites. The banding introduces a subtle directionality to the stone that can be used to advantage in book-matched or directional slab installations. On polished surfaces, the amber feldspar achieves an intense warmth, and the darker bands develop a deep contrast against the gold ground.

Care & Maintenance
Shiva Gold Granite should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation and re-sealed every 12 months in kitchen and bathroom use. Polished Shiva Gold retains its rich amber depth and banded character under normal conditions.
