Thunder White Granite is quarried in Karnataka's Dharwar Craton, where leucocratic Precambrian granites with moderate dark-mineral content produce the white background with more pronounced grey-black speckle. Geological Profile
Thunder White is a medium-grained leucocratic granite dominated by white potassium feldspar, quartz, and plagioclase, with moderate biotite and hornblende content that creates the more pronounced dark speckle compared to quieter white varieties. The dark-mineral content is higher than in Moon White or Imperial White, producing a livelier mineral texture while maintaining an overall white-ground character. Moderate porosity requires sealing for food and wet-contact surfaces.

Thunder White Granite has a white to light grey background with a more prominent, irregular dark grey-black speckle from biotite and hornblende grains distributed across the surface. The dark mineral content is noticeably higher than in quieter white granites — giving Thunder White a livelier, more energetic surface texture while remaining firmly a white-ground stone. The increased mineral movement introduces a natural, organic quality absent from uniform whites. On polished surfaces, the white matrix is reflective and the dark speckle contrast is at its maximum.

Care & Maintenance
Thunder White Granite should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation and re-sealed every 12 months in kitchen and bathroom use.
