Viscount White Granite.
Viscount White Granite from Karnataka is a light grey-white stone with distinctive darker grey cloud-like mineral patterns — a sophisticated, marble-referencing granite that offers contemporary grey-and-white patterning with the durability advantages of natural granite.
About White
Viscount White Granite is quarried in Karnataka's Dharwar Craton, where specific Precambrian granites develop the characteristic light grey background with darker grey cloud patterns through mineral clustering and compositional zoning. The stone has been in export production for over a decade and is well regarded in contemporary kitchen and commercial interior markets. FOB Mundra / Nhava Sheva. Origin and specifications verified by Gemarix.
Geological Profile
Viscount White is a medium-grained granite composed of white to light grey feldspar, quartz, plagioclase, and moderate hornblende-biotite content. The cloud-like dark grey patterns result from the clustering of hornblende and biotite minerals into irregular aggregates of varying size — a consequence of late-stage magmatic crystallisation processes that concentrated dark minerals into localised zones. The light grey background colour reflects the balanced contribution of light quartz-feldspar and darker hornblende phases. Moderate porosity requires sealing for wet-contact applications.
Color & Character
Viscount White Granite presents a light grey to white background with irregular dark grey cloud-like mineral clusters distributed across the slab surface. The pattern is organic and variable — the dark clusters ranging from small rounded patches to larger amorphous bodies — creating a stone that references marble cloud patterning while maintaining the physical properties of granite. On polished surfaces, the light background achieves a clean reflectivity and the darker cloud clusters develop a deep grey contrast that enhances the marble-like visual quality of the stone.

Care & Maintenance
Viscount White Granite should be sealed with an impregnating sealer at installation and re-sealed every 12 months in kitchen and bathroom applications. The light grey-white background is susceptible to staining if left unsealed; prompt spill cleanup is important. Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaner and avoid acidic, bleach-based, or abrasive products. Polished Viscount White retains its cloud-patterned character under normal conditions.
